Slum Village's Baatin, born Titus Glover, passed away yesterday. No details on his death except the fact it's been reported by various outlets, from blogs to MCs on Twitter.
Baatin was part of the very influential group, Slum Village, which is mostly known for J Dilla's first break. However, Slum Village is a great group in it's own right, hosting such emcees as Baatin, Elzhi, and T3.
Baatin left Slum Village 2002, after their second album Trinity (Past, Present, & Future), however, he rejoined in 2008, bringing along J Dilla's brother Illa J with him to give Slum Village a Dilla feel for their reunion. They were working on their reunion album, Villa Manifesto.
